Vanessa Jane Davies

Vanessa Jane Davies is a Skin Camouflage Consultant with over 25 years of practical experience. She established Skin Camouflage Services at 10 Harley Street, London in 2007 and treats men, women, and children across a wide range of skin conditions, pigmentation/discoloration, scars, and burns. Vanessa holds practicing privileges with Nuffield Health Hospitals and consults from five further UK locations. Furthermore, she provides skin camouflage expertise to the Bristol Scar Team.

Within her practices Vanessa receives referrals from many different backgrounds including clinical negligence, personal injury, rehabilitation, embassies, and the military.

As an expert witness Vanessa is recognised for her work in multiple site injuries, pigmentation, burns including chemical, fire, hot liquids and electricity and traumatic scarring of all origins including dog attacks and self-harm. In addition to her report writing Vanessa volunteers her skills to support Melanoma UK, this combined with her clinical experience and accreditation as a ScarWork™ MSK Therapist offers an opinion of reasoning
in specialist scar therapy and sun protection.

Having worked in education and training for over 10 years Vanessa is a keen guest speaker with her profile, spanning across television, radio, national newspapers, and health/legal publications.

Currently Vanessa is working in collaboration with the University of Sussex to bring about opportunities for patients in the UK and overseas to access skin camouflage products via the SameSkin App. This will provide not only colour matching options but access to a wealth of practical skin camouflage techniques and applications across a vast range of skin colour differences, no matter where the colour difference is, or what skin colour you are.
